NEWS & Events

Three Rivers 48-Hour
Student Film Slam, May 31 - June 2, 2019

The Film Slam is a team competition where groups of young filmmakers write, direct, edit and premiere a short film in just two days. In the end, winners will be selected for cash prizes. All scripting, shooting and editing must take place within the 48 hours, so teams must have spontaneity, time management and lots of ingenuity! Although the event is competitive, the environment is welcoming, supportive, and most importantly, fun! Audience members get to watch the delectable results of the pedal-to-the-metal film shooting on Sunday, June 2nd. CLICK HERE FOR MORE INFORMATION

Annual Members Meeting

Friday, June 21, 6:30 pm.

Join us for a special event, with a performance by Jeff Rapsis accompanying a silent movie, Buster Keaton's Steamboat Bill, Jr. Following through on a promise to his mother, William Canning Jr. goes to River Junction to meet his father who has not seen him since he was a child. But the old man is being put out of business by J.J. King, who not only owns the local hotel and bank, but has recently introduced a new paddle wheel steamer that puts Cannings older boat, the Stonewall Jackson, to shame. Bill Jr. and Kitty King take a liking to each other much to the dismay of both of their fathers. When a fierce storm hits River Junction, Bill Jr. is forced to save Kitty, her father and his father.

Oh yes, we'll also have our annual report and election for the Board of Directors.

Not a member? Join now, or just show up for the event and we'll get you signed up.
