UPDATE ... FACT Camps for 2020
FACT Camp 1 - CANCELLED.
This camp each year is done in cooperation with Franklin Parks and Recreation. They, unfortunately, have cancelled all their summer camps due to conditions of the coronavirus pandemic.
FACT Camp 2 - August 3-15, is still hoping to operate in some fashion.
Meets Monday through Friday from 4- 6 pm
at Franklin Opera House
This camp will focus on all the different areas of theatrical performance- dance, music and character creation- toward the overall culmination of a production. Students will work with teen interns to learn the skills to help improve focus, concentration, observation and other skills that will help them become stronger performers.
Camp 2 cost is $150 per child. In case of cancellation, all payments will be fully refunded.
Camp 2 culminates with performances on Aug. 14 & 15 at 7pm
at Franklin Opera House
A musical adaptation of the 2016 Disney animated film, bringing the adventures of Moana and her village of Motunui to life onstage.
FACT is an offspring of the Franklin Opera House, Franklin Footlight Theatre and the FHS Players. The program covers basics in theater training and performance art, and culminates in a group production at the end of each camp. FACT provides a positive experience for hundreds of children in grades one through eight. It’s also an incredible educational experience for the teenage interns who are hired to work for the program. Working under the guidance of the Artistic Director they learn how to teach children to perform. They take what they learn, plus their own theater experience and work with groups of children. The result is amazing!
Apply to be a Teen Intern!
