Jule C. Finley
Scholarship Award
Established May 19, 2006
By the Members of Franklin Opera House, Inc.

To honor her dedication to her students,
the performing arts, and her continuing
contributions to the community.
Named for Jule C.
Finley, an English teacher and drama program director at Franklin
High School, founder, past president, and principal director of
Franklin Footlight Theatre, and an energetic and passionate member
of our community, whose inspiration and efforts in bringing drama
and theatre back to Franklin have resulted in the establishment of
Franklin Footlight Theatre and the rebirth of the Franklin Opera
House.
The Franklin Opera House is now
accepting donations for this annual scholarship in order to create
an endowment fund of at least $10,000 to afford the awarding of a
minimum of $500 a year to a deserving student from Franklin, or its
neighbors, who has been actively involved in local theatre or other
performing arts, and has shown a willingness to share their time,
talents and energy for the benefit of their community.
We hope that over time the endowment
will grow and with it the size of the award, so that this
scholarship can make a significant difference in the life of the
recipient, as Jule Finley has made in the countless numbers of
students whose lives her passion and commitment have touched.
Each recipient’s name will be etched
into a plaque which will be permanently displayed in the Opera
House.
Please consider showing your recognition of Jule’s achievements by
writing a check today to the Franklin Opera House, and note on the
“memo” line, for the Jule C. Finley Scholarship Award. Checks may be
dropped off at our box office or mailed to Franklin Opera House,
P.O. Box 172, Franklin, NH 03235.
All donations are deeply
appreciated and are tax deductible to the full extent of the law.
