Franklin Opera House Mission Statement

The mission of the Franklin Opera House, Inc. is to restore, revitalize, and maintain the Opera House as a community and entertainment center, and to develop appreciation of the arts by sponsoring a wide variety of events in music, theatre, dance, and the visual arts for the diverse communities we serve.

Vision Statement

1.        We envision the Franklin Opera House/City Hall restored to its original beauty with all enhancements necessary for code compliance and modern use accomplished in such a way that the historical features and character of the building will be preserved. 

2.        We envision the Opera House as a community and entertainment center for arts and culture that is truly representative of the cross-section of the needs of the communities we serve. 

3.        We envision that this center will take an active role in serving the cultural, educational, social well-being and civic needs of the communities we serve. 

4.        We envision the Franklin Opera House will facilitate the utilization of the arts as a means for imparting ideas and for providing educational and enriching experiences.  

5.        We envision that a major benefit of this restoration will be a positive and uplifting economic influence on the community and will help propel the ultimate revitalization of the City of Franklin. 

6.        We envision the Franklin Opera House as a venue for performances by nationally and locally known artists that will draw audiences from a broad area, and become a regional center for art and cultural events. 

7.        We envision the Franklin Opera House will partner with the schools by bringing the joy of the arts to students, and by bringing students to the arts. 

8.        We envision encouraging other community arts producers to use the Franklin Opera House facilities by providing them with professional supervision and affordable space.
